About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : Operating Room Tech Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day - 12x3 - 11 AM - 11 PM Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years required License : Not Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have : - Robotics experience - Strong orthopedic background - 2-5 years of OR experience Job Description : - Participate in clinical profile review followed by a phone interview.
- No first-time travelers; applicants must have a minimum of two full years of experience. - Work in a unit with 9 OR suites and perform 40 cases per day, 70% are outpatient.
- Must be able to circulate; scrubbing is a plus. - Charge Nurse oversees OR, PACU, PreOp, and Endo. - Collaborate with CSTs and Sterile Processing Techs;
both require BLS. - Weekend work involves 15-20 cases on Saturdays. - Required to take 5-6 call shifts over a 6-week period.
Scrub color is provided. - 24 / 7 RT and Pharmacy services available. - Shifts available are 8, 10, and 12 hours with start times at 6 AM, 10 : 30 AM, and 2 : 30 PM.
High need for night shifts. - Receive a floor-specific orientation lasting 3 days. - Handle cases involving heavy ortho, general surgery, gyn, robotics, uncomplicated ENT, and outpatient procedures.
No cardiac or vascular cases. - Outpatient cases include ENT, hernia, gyn, and uncomplicated peds such as tubes and tonsils.
C-sections are performed in L&D. - Must have experience with the Cerner charting system. Additional Notes : - The hospital may cancel up to 3 times per contract for a full or part of a shift.
No first-time travelers or staff without EMR experience.
