About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - NICU Job Specialty : Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum 2 years in specialty License : Must have valid CA license Certifications : BLS, NRP, PALS Must-Have : - Pediatric hospital experience - Pre / Post Op surgical experience - Experience with vents 2-3 shifts / week - Experience with hyperbilirubinemia, general surgery, neonatal sepsis, steroids - Familiarity with oscillators, conventional vents, bubble CPAP, NIPPV - Experience with trachs, central lines, drips, and small baby care Job Description : - First-timers accepted - Required to float to Peds, PICU, or CVICU as needed - Will work every other weekend - May choose 2 out of the 6 holidays off with approval : Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, on a first-come, first-serve basis - COVID-19 vaccine required with medical / religious exemptions only - Documentation system : Cerner Candidates must have strong NICU skills and demonstrate the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
The role involves patient care for critically ill infants, collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
