Summary

CHS Inc. is looking for a Hazmat Driver / Applicator to join our team in Havre! This is a hybrid role that will consist of delivering product to customers, as well as applying fertilizer to customer fields.

This is a local position, and drivers are home daily. We make deliveries Monday-Friday, daytime hours. There will be plenty of opportunities for overtime during our busy seasons, especially in the spring and fall.

This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign on bonus. $1500 will be paid after 30 days of employment, and another $1500 after 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and on time deliveries to our customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws. To include but not limited to pre-trip and post-trip reporting, proper load securement and hours of service.
• Assist in the warehouse when not delivering product.
• Work extended hours in-season to meet business demands.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions
• Assist warehouse staff and perform other duties as needed or assigned.
• Under general supervision, apply fertilizer and crop protection products. May require use of a high clearance sprayer or floater.
• Educate customers on products being applied to fields, techniques utilized, and how you can continue to support them with products and services.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

• Class A or B CDL
• High School diploma or GED
• Must meet minimum age requirement

Additional Qualifications

• Hazmat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements preferred
• Must meet DOT and Company requirements
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English
• Ability to work additional hours and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
• Bulk liquid experience preferred
• Pre-employment screening is based on the job requirements and industry guidelines and may or may not be required for the position.

If required, selected candidates must pass pre-employment screenings to include all or a combination of drug, criminal, motor vehicle check, physical requirements and FMSCA Clearinghouse.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift / carry up to 80 lbs, walk, stand, sit, bend, and kneel

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions.

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications.
