Senior Project Manager – Design-Build Construction

📍 Columbus, Ohio | Full-Time | Developer & Commercial General Contractor

Are you an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in design-build commercial construction ?

Our client, a reputable developer and general contractor based in Columbus, OH , is seeking a driven leader to oversee the full lifecycle of complex commercial projects - from preconstruction through delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a company known for its collaborative culture, strong pipeline of repeat business, and hands-on approach to quality construction.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead design-build projects from concept through completion, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met.
  • Oversee preconstruction, estimating, subcontractor selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage multiple project teams and interface with clients, architects, and engineers throughout all project phases.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, RFIs, and change orders using modern project management tools.
  • Drive proactive communication and problem-solving to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Requirements :

  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a Project Manager or Senior PM role .
  • Proven design-build experience with ground-up commercial, mixed-use, or light industrial projects.
  • Strong technical understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, or similar project management software .
