Title : Business Analyst

Location : Los Angeles, CA (West Los Angeles)

Summary :

Marcum Search is partnered with our distinguished law firm client in the search for a Business Analyst . We are seeking a highly qualified Business Analyst with 3+ years of experience with robust skills in Power BI, MS-SQL, and Aderant.

This role works in a hybrid setting and is local to the West Los Angeles area. Salary range is $110K-$125K.

Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from company databases.
• Utilize company specific system and MS-SQL to extract, transform, and load data as required.
• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare reports associated with firm statistics.
• Create insightful reports and dashboards using Power BI to visualize key metrics and trends.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project objectives.
• Conduct thorough data analysis to identify opportunities for business process improvement.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a Business Analyst.
• Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Aderant systems (MS-SQL preferred).
• Hands-on experience with financial legal software and familiarity with legal industry processes (preferred but not required).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

Preferred Skills :

• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or related field.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
