The opportunity

The Finance Applications Data Manager is a crucial role responsible for supporting the Finance Applications Data Lead in executing the data management strategy for finance applications. The successful candidate will apply deep expertise in finance applications (planning, reporting, close / consolidation) along with enterprise data management, data governance, data quality, master data management, Machine Learning, and Generative AI (Gen AI) to support key finance personas. A key focus is developing and implementing the “FDL consulting blueprint” service offering to create an industry-agnostic data model that ensures data consistency and interoperability across finance applications. The candidate will work with the Data Lead and the Product Owner for the FDL to ensure the blueprint is designed on a foundation of accurate, consistent, and reliable finance application data architecture.

Your Key Responsibilities

The Finance Applications Data Manager will collaborate with finance, IT, and data science teams to manage and utilize finance application data, leveraging Machine Learning, Gen AI, and Azure data technologies to drive innovation and value through the Azure Finance Lakehouse solution offering.

• Support Data Management Strategy Execution for finance applications.

• Define data requirements, architecture, and models for finance applications, considering ML and Gen AI.
• Lead design and implementation of an extensible common information model for the FDL Blueprint.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, ER diagrams, and data lineage maps.
• Lead development and implementation of the FDL Blueprint solution, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with data scientists and finance SMEs to apply ML and Gen AI to finance applications and extend the FDL.
• Support establishment and maintenance of a robust data governance framework for the FDL.
• Stay current with advancements in ML, Gen AI, Data Management and Azure technologies; identify and implement innovative solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and insights for finance applications.
