About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse - Surgery Job Specialty : Surgical Nursing Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 07 : 00 AM - 03 : 30 PM Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Registered Nurse Certifications : BLS (Basic Life Support) Must-Have : Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, ability to work in a stressful environment, and minimal supervision capability.
Job Description : Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions, including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures.- Carry out circulating functions, including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions, and managing the overall nursing care of the patient before, during, and after procedures.
- Directly assist operating physicians with surgical tasks, including hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use.- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Availability for up to one night call per week and up to one weekend work shift per month.
