POSITION TITLE : Cloud DevOps Engineer

POSITION SUMMARY.
The Cloud DevOps Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between software development and IT operations, ensuring that MediQuant’s applications are developed, tested, and deployed efficiently and reliably.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and demonstrate expertise in automating and streamlining processes to enhance productivity and collaboration across teams.
This role involves managing and optimizing our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines, automating infrastructure management, and ensuring the overall health, performance, and security of our systems.
The DevOps Engineer will work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Development, QA, and IT teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality software delivery.
This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, and a commitment to staying current with the latest industry trends and technologies.
JOB DUTIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS. A qualified individual must be able to perform these essential functions of the job as listed, with or without accommodation.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI / CD pipelines, including automating certificate deployments and DNS information.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of code.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, implementing improvements as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the application, infrastructure, and deployments.
- Implement and manage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software development, security, and DevOps methodologies.
- Provide support and guidance to development teams on DevOps processes and tools.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance the DevOps processes.

Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a DevOps role with a focus on Azure DevOps.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure.
- Expert working experience of Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, and Boards in solutions like Azure DevOps .
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications :
- Azure DevOps Engineer certification is a plus.
- Experience with other cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools.
Work Environment. This job operates in a blend of professional office and home office environments. Incumbent will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time, stand;
- walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance;
and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work. This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Monday through Friday, 8 : 30 a.
m. to 5 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the core work hours of 9 : 00 a.
m. to 3 : 30 p.m. and must work 40
hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel. No travel is required.
