Target Salary Range
- : $65,000 - $80,000.
- This represents the potential salary range for this position depending on education level, years of experience and / or certifications in addition to other position specific requirements which may impact salary
Position Overview :
Strong knowledge of monitoring tools and in depth knowledge of Mainframe environment.

Required Qualifications 8 or more years of technical experience with mainframe demand, capacity, and performance management2 or more years of project leadership experienceExperience integrating new technologies with existing technologiesExperience implementing technologies with enterprise-wide impactMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesMasters degree (Preferred)Experience managing major projects from end to endHave a thorough understanding of performance requirements for mainframesUnderstand the relationship between CPU usage, MIPS and response timings, for both GP and zIIP metricsRun processes to capture performance metrics for specific applications'Analyze metrics, and deltas, for chronological tests for an individual applicationResearch anomalies in delta metrics between successive series of an application's testsHave a working knowledge of WLM, and how that affects and impacts mainframe performanceHave familiarity with running distributed applications on M / F LPAR'sHave a basic understanding of M / F internals, and the implications for performanceUnderstand what PI's are, and how they are reported from WLM metricsFamiliar with WLM tuning practices, and impact to overall performanceComfortable in a very large shop, running dozens of Sysplexes and thousands of Report ClassesPreferred Qualifications :
Handles day to day requestsMaintain operating system performance parametersReview and implement WLM (Workload manager) policy changes using IBM WLM ISPF facility (initiators, batch, started tasks, etc.). Determine WLM impact and implement required changes to the WLM policy for adding a new or existing system to the parallel sysplex.Customizing and testing of performance toolsPerforms mid-level troubleshootingMonitor critical system resourcesReal-time performance monitoringSupports operating system upgradesRun IBM SCRT process for billingRun CA SCRT process for billingReview workload delay data to determine root cause and effect on system throughputMaintain operating system performance parametersPerformance maintains the Batch job classes / Initiator structuresBusiness Continuity Planning and participationProvide On-call 7 x 24 rotation, weekend work, etc. Customer Service Skills OverallParticipate in daily scrum and provide updates.
