Job Details :
- Title : Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Type of Hire : Per diem, possible direct placement
- Locations : San Antonio, TX
- Shift : 12-hour shifts
- Pay Rate : $30.00 - $40.00 / hr
- Responsibilities :
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assessing and monitoring patient conditions.
- Assisting with medical procedures and ensuring patient comfort.
- Monitoring vital signs and recording patient information.
- Responding to emergencies, stabilizing patients, and preparing them for transfer if necessary.
- Operating medical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and IV pumps.
- Overseeing the work of Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), nursing assistants, and support staff.
- Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting care provided.
- Reporting any changes in a patient’s condition to the physician and other healthcare professionals.
- Acting as an advocate for the patient, ensuring their rights and needs are addressed in their care plan.
- Requirements :
- Active LVN license in good standing.
- 1 year of experience in relevant healthcare settings.
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
