BLS Certification must be obtained within two weeks of your hire date, while other required certifications are to be completed within six months of hire. Existing certifications must be maintained without a grace period for renewal.\n\nSkills : \n
- Proficient understanding and application of knowledge relevant to the specific age and type of patient population.\n
- Sensitive and knowledgeable about patients' rights throughout all aspects of care delivery.\n
- Ability to communicate effectively in clear, concise language suitable for the developmental level of the patient.\n\nExperience : \n\nNature of Supervision : Reports directly to the Patient Care Director or Manager.\n\nEnvironment : \n
- Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogen C (OR, PACU, L&D) and Bloodborne Pathogen B (other patient care areas); potential exposure to infectious diseases and x-rays.\n\nWork in a clean, well-lit, and ventilated smoke-free environment, which may be subject to stressful professional relationships. Flexibility in working hours is required due to possible unexpected schedule changes and emergencies.\n\nPhysical Requirements : Must be capable of effectively managing emergency situations. Requires significant periods of standing and walking, in addition to the ability to position, push, or transfer patients and equipment. Must possess the physical capability to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch. Strong acuity in vision and hearing within normal or correctable limits is essential, complemented by manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
