Support Systems Engineering and Integration activities as the principal advisor on all matters related to systems cyber security as an engineer and manager.
Description
Responsibilities :
- Execute day-to-day security posture and continuous monitoring for an Information System.
- Manage information assurance of a program, organization, system, or enclave.
- Physical and environmental protection, personnel security, incident handling, and security training and awareness of an Information System.
- Design and develop organizational information systems or upgrade legacy systems, as applicable.
- Ensure information system is designed, developed, and implemented with required security features and safeguards.
- Interface with government organizations during engineering design solutions, assessments, and evaluations.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented protection measures.
- Conduct program and technical risk assessments to determine necessary cybersecurity protection measures.
- Integrate Risk Management Framework (RMF) throughout the system acquisition lifecycle.
- Create, review, and assess RMF artifacts for implementation.
- Evaluate, implement, and support cybersecurity focused services while maintaining knowledge of current security threats and operational best practices.
- Conduct periodic hardware / software inventory assessments.
- Oversee configuration management of assigned systems.
- Perform security analysis of operational and development environments, threats, vulnerabilities, and internal interfaces to define and assess compliance with accepted government standards.
Required Qualifications :
- Must have an active TS / SCI clearance to be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of work experience in cybersecurity.
- DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level III approved cybersecurity baseline certification.
- Experience with cybersecurity policy, processes, architecture, testing, and evaluation procedures.
- Experience with cybersecurity assessments.
- Ability to translate cybersecurity policy and guidance into system requirements.
- Understanding of risk management.
- Experience with COMSEC key management and cryptographic equipment.
- Effective interpersonal skills and managing technically experienced teams.
- Ability to engage at the manager and engineer levels; ability to engage with Senior Leadership.
- Master’s degree in cybersecurity, engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
- Experience in Air Force or Space Systems (preferred).
- Experience in Acquisition Life Cycle (preferred).
- Familiarity with security tools.
- Experience as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) or Information System Security Manager (ISSM).
- Experience with Classified Programs.
