Supplier Quality Engineer
Our client, an internationally renowned manufacturer of large metal automotive components, is seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer.
This position is based in Cartersville, GA. Summary / Objective We are looking for a dedicated individual to maintain and improve the quality system, production processes, and overall product quality within our company and with our suppliers.
Essential Functions 1. Responsible for implementing quality planning, including APQP and initial sampling. 2. Coordinate with suppliers for PPAP approval, conduct audits, issue reclamations, and handle charge backs.
3. Review laboratory and measurement reports and take necessary actions. 4. Prepare for and manage customer audits. 5. Implement and monitor countermeasures.
6. Interpret and understand engineering drawings, standards, and specifications. 7. Develop inspection documents for auditors.
8. Facilitate customer and supplier visits. 9. Participate in and manage quality and customer projects. 10. Conduct internal audits.
11. Implement and monitor engineering changes. 12. Verify tool, process, and gauge buy-offs. 13. Submit PPAP to customers.
14. Collaborate in the development of FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows, and other process documentation. Competencies 1.
Strong written and spoken English language skills. 2. Proficiency in written and spoken German language is preferred, but not required.
3. Proficiency in written and spoken Spanish language is preferred, but not required. Job Description . Position Type / Expected Hours of Work Minimum of 50 hours per week.
Travel Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. Required Education and Experience 1. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industry.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality-related field. 3. Experience with GD & T. 4. Auditing experience. 5. Proficient in MS Office.
6. Familiarity with CATIA / CAD or similar software required.
