About the role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Corporate Development team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic priorities by pursuing opportunities for acquisitions and partnerships.

You will closely collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute on M&A opportunities that align with our strategic priorities.

We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience in conducting rigorous financial modeling and diligence as well as synthesizing complex findings into actionable insights.

This job is full-time and is located in San Francisco.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $168,570.00 and up to $238,900.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits.

The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Lead corporate development strategy including identifying step-change growth opportunities through acquisitions and partnerships aligned to our strategic priorities
  • Lead all aspects of due diligence and associated quantitative analyses including operating models, valuation scenarios, and financial diligence to provide guidance into acquisition opportunities
  • Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders to drive consensus and execute on opportunities
  • Negotiate and structure deals pertaining to acquisitions and partnerships and ensure alignment with strategic priorities and financial targets
  • Develop insightful analysis of key industry trends, emerging areas of opportunity, and competitive landscape to to identity and present potential M&A targets
  • Develop strong relationships with startups, VCs, investment bankers, and leading technology companies to source deals

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 8-10 years of work experience in corporate development, investment banking, or PE / VC / investment management with 3+ years of focus on the fintech sector
  • Proven track record of successful execution of M&A transactions and partnerships
  • Exceptional skills with financial modeling and analytical analysis
  • Ability to drive and execute M&A projects cross-functionally, synthesize feedback, and drive alignment with minimal guidance
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of effectively articulating strategic insights and recommendations
  • Strong network and deep understanding of the financial services and technology landscape
