JOB TITLE : Advocacy Services Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Programs Director; manages and coordinates the Advocacy and Survivor Assistance Program.
May be a member of the Project Woman leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates all aspects of Advocacy and Survivor Assistance Program.
- Provides direct supervision of all staff associated with Advocacy and Survivor Assistance Program.
- Develops and implements comprehensive collaboration with law enforcement agencies, criminal justice programs, hospitals, and Project Woman.
- Provides direct advocacy services as needed to ensure access by survivors to all necessary supports.
- Participates on the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and other internal agency committees as assigned.
- Trains Project Woman staff, staff of social service agencies and other stakeholders and partners related to rights, resources, and advocacy for victims of crime, particularly domestic;
intimate partner violence, stalking, sexual assault, and human trafficking as assigned.
- Collects and maintains documentation and data in accordance with agency policy and procedure, government regulations, funding requirements, and in keeping with Violence Against Women Act and best practices.
- Maintains monthly Program statistics; manages database as necessary to ensure accurate data tracking. Maintains outcome measurement for the Program;
provides all necessary Program reporting per agency and funding requirements.
- Assists the agency in meeting its PQI, evaluation, and reporting requirements. This includes participating in the collection, interpretation, and application of data, contributing to the development of outcomes and indicators, and setting targets, as well as using program and client outcome data to improve service delivery.
- Participates in rotation of Crisis Response to hospital and law enforcement as necessary; Provides back-up to on-call advocates to ensure adequate coverage and Crisis Response needs are met.
- Participate in local Coordinated Community Response teams as assigned. Assists in developing and maintaining local CCRs and SARTs in regional service area.
- Networks with state and national coalitions as assigned; representing Project Woman on assigned committees and caucuses.
- Meets criteria for provision of Community Psychiatric Support Treatment under Ohio Revised Code for Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services (OHMAS) and in keeping with the Council on Accreditation.
- Performs other duties as needed, requested, or as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Registered Advocate in Senior Standing certification preferred. Prior experience working with domestic, intimate partner, and sexual violence survivor services.
Demonstrated program leadership. Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organization, and problem-solving abilities.

Employees must be able to control their emotions and remain calm. This is a high stress occupation and self-care is essential as is the ability to handle stress in a positive manner.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is moderately active and can include sitting and standing for long periods of time. Travel within local community required.
Travel in and out of state for trainings, conferences, and seminars is possible. May require lifting up to 50 pounds.
