Jr. Designer Position
This entry level position will work with Distribution Designers to complete electric and gas
distribution designs. Assignments may include conducting site surveys, completing Final Design
Print drawings, updating utility online applications, planning (material requisition) and
submitting for all required permits. The Jr. Designer will also have to communicate with the
utility and the end customer concerning the project.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :
- Knowledge of MicroStation or experience in AutoCAD
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
- Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, manage, and coordinate multiple work
assignments.
Desire to learn the utility distribution industry, such as, interpretation of utility
drawings
and site plans
- Ability to anticipate and effectively resolve day to day issues promptly.
- Desire to learn how to use applications specific to the utility industry
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail
- Dependable
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Company driving standards.
