Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector has a need for a Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer at its Subsystem and Software Sustainment (S&SS) organization in Warner Robins, GA.

This engineering position is for a role on our Embedded Software Engineering Team. In this role you will be supporting our B-1B Electronic Warfare Software Program.

You will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team of engineers focused on the modernization and sustainment of the ALQ-161A SWESIM DA project for the B-1B platform.

This position is in Warner Robins, GA and requires that you work on-site daily. *Your responsibilities will include : *

• Develop, modify, and maintain embedded operational flight programs using software development best practices and standards.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, to include requirements development, modeling and design, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
• Ability to provide leadership in solving complex problems.
• Frequent opportunities to interact with Program Management, external suppliers and / or government customers, therefore excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills are essential to succeeding in this role. *Basic Qualifications : *
• Must have a High School diploma / GED and at least 13 years of direct relevant experience.
• Will consider candidate with an Associates of Science (B.S) degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent STEM related discipline.
• Minimum of 11 years of direct relevant experience with Associates Degree; 9 years of direct relevant experience with B.

S degree; Minimum of 7 years of direct relevant experience with Masters degree; Minimum of 5 years of direct relevant experience with PhD.

• Proficient in C / C++ / C# / Ada or other OOP languages
• Proficient in all areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing
• Working knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW) principles
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance *Preferred Qualifications : *
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in STEM related discipline
• Experience programming in Ada
• Experience using Jira / Bitbucket / Git
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Experience with the Agile software development process
• Experience interfacing with customers and / or stakeholders
• Experience with digital signal processing
• Experience with radar principles
• Active Secret Security Clearance NGSkills *Salary Range : *$114,900 - $172,300 The above salary range represents a general guideline;

however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
