Leidos' Defense Systems - Platform Integration Facility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our growing team. In this role, you'll ensure electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet strict quality standards in accordance with drawings, specifications, and procedures. You'll also play a key part in supporting documentation, troubleshooting, and non-conformance tracking-directly impacting the performance and reliability of mission-critical defense systems.

This is a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, self-direction, and teamwork are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Inspect piece parts, components, and electro-mechanical assemblies (e.g., cable assemblies, structural hardware).

Read and interpret engineering drawings, test plans, and assembly instructions .

Perform material verification and inspections, generating inspection reports and documentation.

Identify and document non-conformances and assist in initiating root cause analysis.

Use standard measurement equipment (micrometers, calipers, multimeters, etc.) for inspection and calibration.

Support acceptance testing and generate test documentation .

Assist with receiving inspection , documentation control, and calibration processes.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED required.

3-5 years of experience in a quality control environment under ISO9001 / AS9100 or in DoD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing.

Proficient with standard inspection tools : micrometers, calipers, multimeters , etc.

Able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications .

Experience generating inspection documentation (inspection reports, bubble prints, Certificates of Conformance, NCRs).

Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) .

Strong communication and collaboration skills within multi-disciplinary teams.

U.S. Citizenship required.

Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance .

Preferred Qualifications

Experience inspecting complex aerospace hardware and supporting Material Review Board (MRB) processes.

Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection and Acceptance Data Pack review / creation.

Knowledge of AS5553 counterfeit prevention practices.

Experience in handling non-conforming materials and writing / processing NCRs.

Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs .

Pay Range :

Pay Range $50,050.00 - $90,475.00
