Location : Richland County, SC
What You'll Do :
Develops and executes marketing plans for new sales and / or retention of existing accounts within assigned territory. Prepares and presents proposals and communications to groups, agents, and / or individuals.
Develops and maintains professional relationships with groups, agents, and / or individuals. Assesses agency, agent, group, and / or individual sales opportunities and works with groups, agent, and / or individuals to resolve problem issues.
Conducts on-going market research and provides key information that may lead to sales. Prepares and submits required marketing reports to management detailing how best to position company products.
Maintains product / industry knowledge and marketing skills by attending trading seminars, continuing education classes, conferences, etc.
Required Education :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education :
Bachelor's Degree, any major.
Required Work Experience :
One-year sales and marketing.
Preferred Work Experience :
Three years previous outside sales experience including customer service.
Active Department of Insurance Licenses in Health, Life, and Accident

Required Software and Tools :
Microsoft Office. Excel, Access, or other spreadsheet / database software.
Required License and Certificate :
Department of Insurance Licensure must be obtained within 60 days of hire in state employed. Licensure must be maintained while in job.
Work Environment :
Flexible work hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Work will involve day travel, meetings, and transportation of materials.
