This is the advanced journey level position performing a variety of complex analytical and technical duties including scheduling, budgeting, cost analysis and monitoring for a variety of engineering projects.

  • This position will provide technical Primavera scheduling expertise; assist project managers in the development of project authorization documents and budgets for management approval;
  • conduct internal program / project reviews for compliance with project controls standards and processes; support development of internal audit responses;

analyze financial and other statistical data to forecast expenditures and resources.

The successful candidate will act as the project controls lead on a wide range of projects. On a part time and / or rotational basis, will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the Primavera (P6) master schedule for over +550 projects.

Ensure schedule / progress management and reporting is in place, accurate, and provided in a timely manner. Develop, enter and maintain Primavera schedule data including project budgets, resources, roles, and the Work Breakdown Structure to ensure data is converted and formatted correctly within project schedules.

Collect and analyze project financial data and assist management with resource forecast planning for the Capital Investment Plan.

Participate and assist team manager in the development, documentation, reporting, and implementation of project controls policies and procedures.

Research and analyze project financial data, prepare reports and documents for management. Work directly with project managers in support of their project controls needs.

Schedule : 44 / 36, Monday through Friday / Every other Friday off. Monday through Thursday 9 hours per day, 8 hours per day every other Friday.

Start times are no earlier than 6 am and end times are no later than 6 pm.

Hybrid : Metropolitan’s current practice in this position is a hybrid work schedule. This typically includes two days a week in person and the other days remote.

This is subject to change dependent on organizational needs.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and six years of relevant experience.

Relevant Experience is defined as : experience in project controls on Primavera application, document control, budget and cost control.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS

License(s) : Valid California Class C Driver’s License or equivalent that allows you to drive during your employment.
