About the role
Working in a project-based role, the Financial Analyst will provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis related to the AAK US business as well as the Americas region, strategy and contribute to regional reporting that facilitates decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.*
Responsibilities
- Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity.
- Development of analytics and a standardized reporting package that will allow the operations finance team better analyze, understand, and predict our manufacturing costs for reporting to the US LT and for P&L planning purposes.
- Development of analytics and reporting that will allow for us to better understand, control, and predict that US P&L and overall volume performance.
Potential sources of information would be volume trends by industry, contract levels, origination trending per PO, and category / retail point of sale trends from marketing.
Coordination, analysis, management, and reporting of US strategy plans. Prepare analytics and HQ communications as needed or upon request - done in coordination with marketing and commercial strategy leads.
Drive annual update of strategy and ensure alignment with overall annual budgets.
- Assist the US contract management team with contract status updates, reporting, and follow ups. Help drive results in the areas of contract snowball cleanup and simple and effective reporting to the LT.
- Other ad hoc responsibilities related to CFO projects, management and reporting related to the overall Americas region, and / or management and reporting related to any facet of the US business.
- Compile data for annual reports (charts, tables and other exhibits as requested as well as support on the preparation of budgets and cash flow).
- Produce or collaborate on the necessary financial presentation materials for the Leadership Team meetings.
- Maintain and develop various financial models and standard templates distributed for use by all of Finance during the planning processes, ensuring quality, accuracy and focused analytic review.
- Demonstrate insightful use of financial analysis techniques, tools, and concepts, to provide practical counsel to business area partners and management in order to drive business results.*
About you
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Accounting and 3-7 years of financial analysis experience required.
- Experience and understanding of financial systems as well as advanced Excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maturity, professionalism, and high level of discretion is required
- Knowledge of procedural controls and data validation techniques required.
- Financial modeling expertise a plus.
- Professional with strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems.
- Professional presence with ability to interact with senior leadership.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment.
