- Communicates with physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and other medical professionals on patientcare. -Assesses and diagnoses patient and family needs in order to provide quality care to assignedpatients.
- Explains procedures and treatments to patient to gain cooperation, understanding, and allay apprehension. -Counsels patients and family members before, during and after treatment.
Educates patient and family on medication use, dose, and common side effects. -Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examination of patient. -Ability to place Catheters for patients, change catheters, and check on catheter status-Completes a Physical assessment, head to toe assessment, and tacking of I&Os as needed.
- Works as a Patient Advocate for what patient s desires are in conjunction with the plan of care. Completes individual patient care plan.
- Ability to safely move or lift patient as needed, with assistance of machines, other staff and / or devices. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing .
