Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing electronics products.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of product designs.
- Lead efforts in process improvement, automation, and cost reduction to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable solutions.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality materials and components are used in the production process.
- Oversee the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste and improve productivity.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and process bottlenecks.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the electronics industry.
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, PCB assembly, and testing.
- Proficiency in CAD / CAM software and familiarity with ERP / MRP systems.
- Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements that resulted in increased efficiency and cost savings.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Preferred Skills :
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
- Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
