Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing electronics products.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and scalability of product designs.
  • Lead efforts in process improvement, automation, and cost reduction to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable solutions.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure quality materials and components are used in the production process.
  • Oversee the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize waste and improve productivity.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on best practices and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and process bottlenecks.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the electronics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, PCB assembly, and testing.
  • Proficiency in CAD / CAM software and familiarity with ERP / MRP systems.
  • Experience with process optimization, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of implementing process improvements that resulted in increased efficiency and cost savings.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Preferred Skills :

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
  • Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
