Position Title : Facility Janitor

Shift : Flexible shifts available : Monday-Friday 6 : 00 AM to 3 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM

Pay Rate : $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Overview : BBSI is seeking a dedicated and reliable Facility Janitor to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of our manufacturing facility, including office spaces, restrooms, and common areas.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a thorough knowledge of cleaning products, and the ability to handle physical tasks and equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks across the facility, including offices, break rooms, restrooms, and manufacturing areas.
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and power washers.
• Manage waste disposal, including emptying trash and recycling bins and handling hazardous materials in accordance with safety protocols.
• Maintain outdoor areas by removing debris and snow, and ensuring the cleanliness of parking lots and sidewalks.
• Monitor and maintain cleaning inventory, including placing orders for new products and supplies as needed.
• Carry out basic maintenance tasks such as replacing air filters and supporting HVAC system upkeep.
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces, including desks, door handles, and office tools.
• Ensure the safe use and handling of cleaning chemicals, following Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Report any unsafe conditions or maintenance needs to supervisors promptly.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a janitor or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, with the ability to use them safely and effectively.
• Experience operating heavy cleaning equipment and machinery.
• Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Integrity and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Working Conditions :

• This position involves working in a manufacturing environment with physical demands, including extended periods on foot and handling of heavy equipment.
• Shifts are typically 8 to 10 hours in length.

Dress Code / Equipment : Closed-toe shoes, jeans, and t-shirts are required. All necessary safety equipment will be provided and must be worn at all times.
