QuPosition Overview
The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks an Associate Dean for Research (ADR) to provide leadership for the College’s research program.
The ADR is the College’s chief research officer and reports to the Dean of the College of Dentistry. Responsibilities include all aspects of the research enterprise across the college’s ten divisions, including strategy and operations for the overall research program and research resources administration.
The ADR works collaboratively with faculty, division chairs, and staff to foster interdisciplinary, collaborative research among divisions, with other colleges at OSU, and with external partners.
The ADR will be a tenured member of the faculty with an appointment in an appropriate division. The position includes a state-supported salary and start-up package.
The desired start date for this position is February 1, 2025.

Performance Objectives

Education and Experience Requirements
Candidates must have a doctoral degree and a well-established research program with a history of sustained research funding, and credentials that would support appointment at the level of professor.
Desired qualifications include a research program with relevance to the craniofacial complex or oral diseases and conditions.

The College
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States, and it is the only public dental school in Ohio.
The college is divided into ten divisions with the major ADA-recognized dental specialties, biosciences and dental hygiene represented.
The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate, predoctoral, advanced education, and graduate programs.
