Description :

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is the driving force behind the strategic direction, planning, implementation, and management of the information technology systems and related services.

The CIO's guidance, vision, and oversight of information systems and technology are instrumental in our information management, industry standards and best practices, service management, operational efficiency, and business integration.

The CIO leads a team of IT professionals and collaborates with other senior executives and business stakeholders to align Information technologies with business goals and objectives, making a significant impact on our operations.

The CIO manages all IT departments responsible for ERP systems and applications to support business functions, application development, enabling data sciences, cybersecurity, advanced analytics, program and project management, talent and leadership development, IT governance and performance management, partnerships and ecosystem management, and service management.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute the company's Technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.
  • Execute and deliver on all IT Objectives and deliver key strategic objectives. Develop and implement a systems strategy aligned with the overall business objectives.
  • The CIO plays a crucial role in driving technology-driven advancements and innovation, collaborating with business leaders and stakeholders;

the CIO identifies opportunities for technological advancements that align with our business priorities. A key focus of the CIO's role is ensuring our services and support are safe, sound, and leveraged to meet required business outcomes.

  • Oversee integrated systems' design, deployment, and maintenance to scale operations and diverse business entities and functions.
  • The CIO is responsible for identifying areas for technical process improvement, streamlining processes, and recommending new software and / or applications to support organizational growth.

This role plays a crucial part in driving technological innovation within the company.

  • Work with other technical leaders to establish a best-in-class framework for continuous improvement of the information department and create an enterprise architecture to support current and future technical operations.
  • Oversee ongoing data management and governance projects to empower integrated systems.
  • Possess an understanding of data and analytics and help develop a strategy to utilize existing information to maximize business impact fully.
  • Establish and oversee reliable reporting and analytics frameworks.
  • Actively collaborate and advice the leadership team and the board of directors.
  • Develop and manage systems budgets, ensuring resources are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Support the IT security, risk management, controls, and governance frameworks to mitigate organizational exposure.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads the team on planning and strategy activities to develop, implement, and maintain a technology environment that meets current and anticipated business objectives.
  • Attract, Build, and Develop a high-performing IT team, creating a culture of innovation, high performance, and collaboration, providing development and upskilling opportunities.
  • Define and execute forward-looking plans and roadmaps to develop relevant new technology skills and capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and recommend solutions to drive competitive advantage.
  • Represent all user groups within the business in designing and deploying innovative technology.

  • Create service level agreements (SLAs) with business areas and operating level agreements between IT functions and vendors to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Implement robust, standardized program and project management disciplines.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least ten years of CIO experience
  • The candidate must have experience leading diverse ERP implementations, software development, analytics, and project management departments.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex IT projects and solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of IT architecture, enterprise systems, applications, and multi-discipline industry standard standards.
  • Experience in data management, data analytics, machine learning, and other emerging technologies
  • Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Certifications in ITIL, PMP, CISSP, CISM, or other relevant fields are a plus.
  • Strategic understanding of value creation driven by business process and functional capabilities in manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial systems
  • Proven leader of leaders
  • Modernization and integration experience.
  • Savvy about business and technology and can effectively interact with and influence business leaders.
  • Strategic leadership to manage IT group to deliver technical services to multiple lines of business, including construction, manufacturing, and equipment leasing.

Location : Flexible throughout the US as long as my client has an office in that location.
