Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children.
With 243 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility.
Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care.
Over 1,500 employees and more than 630 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women’s Center and the Women’s Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center.
The Resource team provides quality, comprehensive patient care in an assigned facility, covering for regular staff members that, for a variety of reasons, are unable to attend to their normal positions.
The Resource Team provides clinical and nursing support and encompasses a broad skill set that enables members to float to various areas in the hospital or clinic.

If you are a compassionate, sensitive caregiver and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, you could be the ideal candidate for our Registered Nurse position.
You would provide nursing services through the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of patient care.
You would also function as an associate to a charge nurse, and eventually assume charge nurse responsibilities. We are looking for a warm and motivated individual who shares our commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications : Current Hawai’i Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) card.
One (1) year of recent acute care registered nurse experience in an Adult Intensive Care Unit (AICU).
Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
