ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our finance team. This role, reporting directly to the CFO, is pivotal in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making within our real estate and hospitality portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, exceptional financial modeling skills, a passion for understanding market dynamics, and a desire for continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities :
- Financial Analysis & Reporting : Conduct comprehensive financial analyses, prepare reports and graphs, and present insights on business performance, focusing on revenue, expenses, and profitability within real estate and hospitality operations.
- Capital and Operations Budgeting & Forecasting : Lead annual capital and operations budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Cash Planning and Forecasting : Forecast and communicate cash needs for each investment and the management company entities monthly;
initiate transfers to ensure cash is available.
- Investment Analysis : Evaluate potential investment opportunities, including property acquisitions and development projects, through detailed financial modeling, scenario analysis, and risk assessment.
- Investor Relations : Assist in drafting clear, concise, and engaging content that effectively communicates our financial performance and strategic direction including the creation of visually appealing and informative presentations for investors.
- Market Research : Analyze market trends and competitor performance to provide actionable insights that inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Performance Monitoring : Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Collaboration : Work closely with C-Suite, including operations, development, and marketing, to prepare deliverables and provide financial insights that support business objectives.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for enhancing financial processes, reporting tools, and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or relevant professional certification (CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the real estate or hospitality sectors.
- Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel, financial software (e.
g., SAP, Oracle, or similar), and data analysis tools (e.g.Tableau).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and able to adapt to changing responsibilities within evolving start-up environment.
- Knowledge of real estate and hospitality finance principles, reporting standards and industry trends is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and engaging manner.
- Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and quality of work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Topography is currently pursuing four concepts in the United States with a plan to open all four by the end of 2028.
