We are a busy, reputable outpatient primary care clinic in Margate, FL seeking an experienced Certified Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team. This is a full-time position for a Plebotomist / CMA who is comfortable with both clinical and administrative duties , including phlebotomy , insurance verification , prior authorizations , and HEDIS coordination .
Responsibilities :
- Phlebotomist / Medical Assistant – Experienced in blood draw and specimen collection , coding for lab procedures, and transmitting orders through eClinicalWorks (eCW) . Skilled in proper labeling, handling, and documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely results reporting.
- Conduct insurance verification and obtain prior authorizations
- Track and abstract data for HEDIS and payer quality metrics
- Assist in closing care gaps and coordinating referrals
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff
