Clinical Pharmacist
Location : Abilene, TX

Job Summary :
Under the direction of the Clinical Manager and the Pharmacy Director, the Clinical Pharmacist will optimize patient medication therapy by providing comprehensive clinical pharmacy services.
This role requires collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve patient care goals. The ideal candidate must be proficient in all nine patient care skills, including :
- Knowledge of disease
- Knowledge of drug therapy
- Knowledge of non-drug therapy
- Knowledge of laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Communication skills
- Patient monitoring skills
- Physical assessment skills
- Drug information skills
- Therapeutic planning skills
Job Requirements : Minimum Education :
Minimum Education :
B.S. in Pharmacy, Pharm.D., or Master of Pharmacy
Minimum Work Experience :
Three years as a licensed pharmacist with enhanced clinical responsibilities
Required Licenses / Certifications :
- Active registration as a licensed pharmacist in the state of Texas
- Sterile Compounding Certification
- ACLS or PALS certification
- Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) or specialty certification in an area related to assigned duties
- Registration as a preceptor with TSBP
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :
- Proficiency in performing all medication consults, including total parenteral nutrition
- Experience assisting with pharmacy students and pharmacy practice residents
- Ability to provide both internal and external education
- Competence in performing medication / drug use evaluations
- Skill in presenting data / reports at various committees
- Capability to effectively direct and / or supervise personnel as appropriate
- Aptitude for handling confidential information
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and decorum at all times
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
