Avocados From Mexico is looking to hire a dynamic Sr. Foodservice Marketing Manager who will help build brand equity, accelerate avocado demand, and transform the avocado category.
The Senior Foodservice Marketing Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the brand strategy in the Foodservice channel.
The ideal candidate will lead the creative development of marketing campaigns and programs, media planning, research, and strategy for AFM’s Foodservice division.
Reporting to the Director of Foodservice Sales & Marketing, this position will be accountable for developing marketing programs and campaigns that will engage with clients and chefs to drive the use of fresh avocados on menus in commercial and non-commercial channels.
This role will lead the oversight of the foodservice marketing agency team, be responsible for the analysis of marketing programs and campaigns and will serve as a key contributor in the annual company planning process for the foodservice division.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and execution of AFM’s overarching Foodservice strategy and acts as a key contributor in the annual planning process.
- Creates and develops the communication strategy and campaigns for foodservice.
- Drives innovation for foodservice creating the ideation program and materials to launch annual innovative culinary solutions for clients across various channels and segments.
- Collaborates with the media and digital department to develop and execute the annual media plan for foodservice.
- Manages foodservice web development projects in collaboration with the digital team.
- Oversees AFM’s foodservice concept across our various foodservice channels.
- Manages key marketing programs and communication vehicles to drive awareness of AFM’s resources and programs.
- Oversees all marketing assets production and aids in the creation of general marketing, sales materials, and customer presentations.
- Supports the business development team to develop selling stories and marketing strategies that drive the inclusion of fresh avocados on menus.
- Oversees the development and execution of LTO’s, Menu Inclusions, Menu Ideations and Training Sessions to support ongoing business development and needs.
- Leads the program development and curriculum of our B2B education resource training program
- Owns the tracking and control of effectiveness tools, budgeting, tracking, reporting and research management.
- Aggressively grows the business by driving and implementing strategic initiatives to reach the company’s volume goals
- Leads foodservice research and the transformation of insights into actionable new fresh avocado opportunities / projects.
Represents the foodservice department in the company Center of Excellence for research and insights.
- Owns all educational & editorial photo / video shoots from concept to execution.
- Stays connected to the industry with field visits, trade show attendance, etc.
- Collaborates with the PR department to plan and execute foodservice PR events and programs.
- Manages the oversight of the foodservice marketing agencies, including the annual contract and budgeting process.
- Stays up to date on current and emerging marketing trends, best practices, and technologies and seeks ways to improve consumer marketing and media processes and deliverables on a continual basis.

- Supports leadership with special projects on as needed basis.
- Attends leadership meetings, shares information, and gathers feedback to improve Food Service department.
Skills / Qualifications
- May travel up to 20%
- Well versed in fundamentals of foodservice landscape, channels and business trends.
- Ability to convert fact-based foodservice data (Datassential, Technomic, etc.) and qualitative data to actionable insights that inform key business decisions and support program sell-in.
- Solution-oriented with the ability to find creative solutions and can think innovatively
- Proactive self-starter and team player with a passion for executing with excellence and thrives in a fast-paced environment while being adaptable, resilient, and resourceful

Education / Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required (MBA preferred).
- 7+ years' experience Foodservice marketing and / or advertising.
- Strong digital knowledge and experience.
