Position Summary :
The Lead Engineer is responsible for maintaining the mechanical, life safety, electrical, plumbing, and hardware systems.
The Lead Engineer is also responsible for the coordination and, as appropriate, the supervision of all maintenance activities at the property.
This will include contractor work (base building and Client build-out or installation); routine cleaning and maintenance of the property including the exterior curtain wall, roof, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, windows, alley, loading areas etc.

In addition, he or she is expected to monitor and, as appropriate, supervise and assist other building staff in the performance of their duties to ensure proper completion of routine and scheduled tasks at the highest level of efficiency and operation.
The Lead Engineer is to perform duties in a timely, conscientious manner and maintain good communication with the Chief Engineer, Senior Chief Engineers, Property Manager, and all building Clients.
Position Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience repairing and performing preventive maintenance on equipment typically found in commercial office buildings (small compressors, plumbing, life safety systems, and electrical)
- Universal CFC certification required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook required
- DC Stationary Steam Operators License Class Three preferred
- LEED AP or LEED Green Associate designation preferred
