The ideal candidate will offer :
- 4-7 years' experience (minimum) in responsible charge for managing heaving construction projects (i.e. bridges, highways, high rise buildings, hospitals, shopping malls);
- Proficiency in performing calculations using construction plans and / or CAD design drawings;
- Proficiency in checking calculations and field data in CAD drawings;
- Experience preparing cost estimates, construction staking scopes, and proposals for bidding purposes;
- Proficiency with AutoCAD / Civil 3D;
- Ability to manage and coordinate survey technicians and field personnel work activities;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills;
- An LSIT is required; a current Oregon Professional Land Surveying License is preferred;
- A college degree is preferable.
Typical Responsibilities include :
- Estimating and budgeting work-hours for survey projects, review monthly job cost report for invoicing and project management;
- Researching and developing work plans for survey projects;
- Performing survey and utility research;
- Coordinating survey crews to accomplish project goals;
- Managing, supervising, and training field and office staff for efficient completion of projects;
- Maintaining relationships with contractors, project managers, and superintendents.
