We are hiring aMaintenance Mechanic II to repair apartment and public area HVACequipment, along with the overall upkeep of residential apartmentsand public areas through responsive, accurate, and efficientmaintenance.
The Maintenance Mechanic II serves as a member of theMaintenance & Engineering team, which is responsible for thephysical condition of the neighborhoodassigned.
Compensation : Commensurate with experience $ 20.45 -$30.67 per hour.

How youwill make animpact :
- Performroutine and emergency repairs in residential apartments and publicareas, including correcting electrical malfunctions, repairing andreplacing plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings, repairing andreplacing light bulbs and fixtures, repairing doors and locks,etc.
- Adhere to companypolicy by complying with all necessary scheduled preventivemaintenance procedures on designated equipment while followingmanufacturer’s recommendations and will perform necessarymaintenance of HVAC equipment asassigned
- Respond toemergency calls for system and equipment failure with a sense ofurgency while providing detailed information regarding the task(s)performed along with all prescribed / pertinent equipmentinformation
- Assist inmaintaining proper levels of material / supplies for the neighborhoodassigned to ensure the timely and efficient completion of necessarytasks.
- Partner withMaintenance & Engineering personnel, when necessary, in thecompletion of various projects orrepairs.
- Demonstratesa willingness to work a reasonable amount of scheduled and on-call overtime asnecessary.
- Support theSupervisor, Facilities Maintenance / Maintenance & EngineeringManager to ensure the effective and efficient operation within thecommunity by performing other duties whenassigned.

Whatyou willneed :
- HighSchool Diploma / GED
- 3-5years of maintenance experience in a residential apartment complex,commercial building construction, ormaintenance
- Workingknowledge of residential building maintenance to include, but notlimited to, plumbing, electrical, flooring, and appliances &must have demonstrated knowledge ofHVAC.
- Capacity to lift50 pounds, over 50 pounds- must use the aid of a hand truck or getassistance and move lightfurniture.
- Theability to be on one's feet for a long period of time, bending andextensive walking; ability to push and pull, climb and descend aladder to 6 / 8 feet orhigher.
