Senior Accountant

FAST TRACK opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to a Plant Controller position!

Unique opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join a $5 billion, global waste management company, learn the intricacies of the ENTIRE operation, and promote to a Plant Controller role! During the training period, the incumbent will work directly with a Senior Controller over a large region, and will be prepared to take on a role as Site Controller, "owning" the finance and accounting function-including extensive reporting-for that site.

Seeking an Accountant with 2-5 years of experience, well-rounded in GAAP, and skilled in month-end close, the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, audits and system implementations.

Relocation will be required for promotion to Controller, within 6-18 months, following completion of training. Relocation will be focused in SE US, with locations in GA, NC, TN, KY, and surrounding.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Relocation for advancement or promotional opportunity
• 2-5 years of experience as an Accountant, ideally in a multi-entity organization.
• Skilled in the preparation of monthly financial statements, annual budgets, audits and system implantations.
• Demonstrated experience in daily, weekly and monthly metric calculations
• Must be a self-starter with the initiative to learn and a great work ethic
• Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems
