RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

RN - Med Surg Orthopedic

Job Details :

Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

Weekly guaranteed hours : 36 or 48 hours (must be indicated on submission form)

26-week assignment length

Weekend hours required every other weekend

No call requirements

Patient ratio of 1 : 6 on a 30-bed orthopedic unit

2 years of orthopedic experience required (inpatient only)

Current RN license required (must meet Missouri licensure criteria or be currently licensed in Missouri)

Required certification : BLS from AHA only

Preferred certification : ACLS from AHA only

Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed

Use EPIC EMR system

Black scrubs required

Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation

Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities

Coordinate patient care with ancillary departments

Physical demands include standing and walking most of the shift, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and ability to push / pull up to 50 lbs

High risk exposure to blood and body fluids

Flu vaccination required November 1 - April 1 with no declinations accepted
