What you’ll do
The Maintenance Technician will assist in maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Community Maintenance
Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform routine safety checks of door lock systems, water temperatures, etc. as directed and in accordance with established procedures.
- Service heating and cooling units / systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Clean / polish furnishings, fixtures, ledges, room heating / cooling units, etc., in resident homes, clubhouse / common areas, offices etc.
- Perform occasional maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, removing snow and salting, etc.
as necessary / directed.
Clean floors, to include sweeping, dust mopping, dusting, damp / wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing disinfecting, etc.
NOTE : Assure that appropriate caution / safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties and removed / stored in a timely fashion after floor is dry.
Provide occasional backup support for housekeeping.
- Clean and sanitize vacant homes / apartments as assigned.
- Set up and take down tables, chairs, equipment for indoor or outdoor functions as directed.
What it takes
- High school diploma
- Prior experience as a maintenance technician
- Must possess a valid unrestricted state of Michigan driver's license.
