Job Overview

Be the start of our Occupational Therapy services at Milestones Autism Center! In this role, you will work closely with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life.

You will assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the specific goals of each patient.
• Provide therapeutic interventions focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs) and enhancing overall patient function.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy, including knowledge of physiology and medical imaging as applicable.
• Work effectively with patients with disabilities, ensuring a supportive and encouraging environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
• Experience in pediatrics or geriatrics is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of patient service principles and practices.
• Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical setting while demonstrating compassion and empathy towards patients.
• Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities is a plus.

Expected hours : 20 40 per week
