Software Engineer
Redan LLC is looking for a Software Engineer to be part of a growing team in the federal sector.
As the Software Engineer , you will support the development and enhance the functionality of the FEMADex system. This role involves analyzing business and end-user requirements, designing functional software, and integrating COTS software into the FEMADex system.
The position will also involve documenting system functionality and deploying updates or bug fixes as needed.
Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills with client stakeholders at all organizational and technical levels and be adaptive to the organization's changing needs.
The right candidate must be able to contribute to a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals and demonstrate excellent time management while w orking in an agile environment, providing technical knowledge and development to the team throughout all agile ceremonies.
What You'll Be Doing
As the Software Engineer at Redan, you will :
- Develop customized software programs for the FEMADex system, using DevSecOps principles and tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Analyze business and end-user requirements, translating them into functional software designs.
- Modify and configure COTS software for FEMADex system integration.
- Document the functional aspects of the FEMADex system and associated applications.
- Deploy software updates, bug fixes, and improvements using version control tools like Git and CI / CD pipelines .
Profile of Success
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience designing, building, and improving apps, services, or components.
- At least 2 years' experience with Agile IT product delivery and Agile methodologies within the last year, leveraging tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages (Python, Java, or Go), working with relational or NoSQL databases, and tools like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Experience with distributed systems and writing scalable code, using tools like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
