QUALITY TECHNICIAN
Department : Quality
Position Summary :
The Quality Technician at Rotary Systems will never face a boring day. As a Quality Technician you are an integral part of the team.
Every day you will enter a shop that is clean, climate controlled, and offering every resource necessary to help you be successful.
Your work at Rotary Systems will be comfortable, yet challenging.
Responsibilities :
- First article, in-process, and final inspections
- Follow non-conformance procedures for parts out of tolerance
- Working with the Engineering Dept. and assisting with dimensional evaluations
- Work with and assist machinist in setting up inspection equipment
- Assisting with developing quality system documentation.
- Assisting with internal audits.
- Assisting with troubleshooting root causes and corrective / preventative actions.
- Help maintain Quality department tooling and equipment calibrations.
- Work with customers regarding quality issues and managing the return process.
Required Qualifications :
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task on a day-to-day basis
- Working knowledge of standard machining inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, groove gauges, etc.)
- Two years of experience with inspection equipment or working in an inspection department.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications :
- GD&T knowledge and ISO 9001 experience.
- CALYPSO CMM software experience.
- Experience with ERP software (IQMS preferred)
- Two year Technical degree in related fields.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or Technician.
