Job Title : Project Manager - Operations and Special Projects

Department : Operations - Strategy and Ops

About the Role :

The Project Manager will support Astrana's growth strategy by managing multiple operational projects across various business areas.

Reporting to senior leadership, the role involves planning and executing complex initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities include process improvements, vendor management, and creating educational materials. The Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project goals, document initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.

The successful Project Manager must be able to quickly adapt to projects of different size and complexity, able to plan, develop, organize, monitor, risk mitigate and successfully integrate assigned projects by utilizing best practice project management techniques.

They will lead with positivity and motivate project team to achieve the project objectives efficiently, effectively

and within agreed upon time, scope, cost, and performance criteria.

What you'll do :

  • Initiate, plan, manage, and track ops projects simultaneously across multiple departments department specific metrics and dashboards.
  • Document current and future state flows for department specific function.
  • Gather project specific data / information from ops and present at different forums.
  • Be the conduit between departments to help streamline processed by clearly mapping and putting processes around downstream processes.
  • Create and set detailed project plan with clear steps and timeline, milestones, assign owners in collaboration with them or their leaders, monitor and track status of all integration initiatives and escalate timely as needed to keep with set timelines.
  • Proactively monitor and report on the progress of projects against baselined artifacts.
  • Drive project results by collaborating with related partners.
  • Identify risks and issues and conduct follow-up on off-track / lagging projects and tasks. Develop strategies and action plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

Escalate as appropriate and help resolve issues.

  • Build sound professional relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Build repeatable and scalable tools, templates.
  • Develop, track and measure applicable KPI's and other leading indicators for ops.
  • Continuously review business processes, manage change, and incorporate process improvement.
  • Manage any special and / or ad-hoc projects related to corporate development, operations and / or another strategic initiative.
  • Develop P&Ps and SOPs as needed.

Key Deliverables and Performance Goals :

  • Positive impact to Astrana Health team and client experience with implementation projects measured indirectly and directly via team-member engagement, post-integration surveys, and 360-degree team feedback.
  • Continual ops improvement on Ops projects, systems, and processes measured directly by iteration of specific tools (project plans, RAID log, Process flows, other useful templates), processes (meetings, minutes, feedback gathering), and systems (knowledge management, project planning, communication).
  • Operational efficiency gain, reduced error, automation, improved KPIs, documentation of sound processes.
  • Contribution to positive work environment and culture at Astrana Health measured by Integration team-member engagement, productivity, and growth.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years' experience in project management, Healthcare operations, or related fields
  • Ability to independently understand, oversee, coordinate across, and communicate clearly on multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Project Management Tools

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions :

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work both in the office and at home on a weekly basis.

The office is located at 1600 Corporate Center Drive Monterey Park, CA 91754

The target pay range for this role is between $110,000 - $125,000. This salary expectation represents our national target range for this role.
