Westport Mechanical Engineer

How this job will fit your life :

  • Hours 7am to 3 : 30pm
  • Days Monday through Friday
  • Pay TBD

What you can expect each day :

  • Design and implement manufacturing processes for sheet metal fabrication, including cutting, bending, welding, and finishing operations
  • Identify deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements
  • Design and developing prototypes
  • Work with the quality team to develop and implement quality control plans to ensure products meet specifications and standards
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates for new products and processes
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and reduce waste
  • Prepare documentation of critical analysis and providing suggestions for correcting errors
  • Provide technical support to production teams to resolve issues related to sheet metal fabrication processes
  • The marginal functions of this position have not been included. Employee is required to perform any work-related duty assigned by management*

Education & Experience :

  • Engineering degree preferred
  • 2 years of experience required
