Our company is headquartered in Columbia, Missouri, with a more recent office popping up in the St. Louis area. This location, specifically in Earth City, Missouri, houses predominately production and technology roles.
The Loan Specialist role has some flexibility, but is primarily a fully in-office role, as we value the camaraderie and collaboration that comes with working alongside coworkers.
As a Loan Specialist, you help veterans and service members understand the VA loan benefit and get them started with the process to obtain a loan.
You will often serve as the first point of contact with borrowers. This role is an entry-level position into our company, where mortgage experience is a plus, but not a necessity.
We are eager to teach you all the things you need to know to be successful.
We have two types of Loan Specialist positions Daytime Loan Specialist and Flex Loan Specialist.
Daytime Loan Specialists typically work during the normal business hours, with some need for evenings and weekends.
Flex Loan Specialists have a schedule outside of normal business hours. They have the flexibility to set their own schedule.
This is a full-time position; however, those hours can be worked anytime of their choosing; within the following guidelines :
Anytime between 12PM-10PM Monday through Friday and any time between 8AM-10PM Saturday and Sunday.
Flex Loan Specialists are required to work 2 nights a week until 10PM.
Flex Loan Specialists are required to work at least 32 weekend hours per month.

Job duties may include, but are not limited to :
Educate borrowers on loan process and product / service alternatives.
Interview borrowers and obtain and / or verify information and documentation.
Analyze borrower credit for pre-approval or denial of loan applications.
Make initial contact and respond promptly to customer inquiries to collect borrower financial and credit information.
Process borrower credit information through online approval system.
Inform borrowers on future loan documentation requests, including borrowers' income and asset information.
