PAY : $65,000 - $75,000

HOURS : 8 AM - 5 PM (M-F)

ATTN : THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION

SUMMARY :

Operations Analyst will have a primary focus on initiatives to increase operational efficiency and for material movement execution, and operations analytics while maintaining a very high level of customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; other duties may be assigned :

  • Utilize statistical analyses, industry knowledge, and other data to devise workable solutions to operational challenges.
  • Work closely with Operations Management, Shipping, and Procurement to assist in optimizing efficiency, productivity, and workflow processes associated with the day-to-day operations.
  • Conduct extensive MS Excel-based analyses.
  • Develop and maintain management’s reporting requirements including automation and ad hoc requests.
  • Tracking facility-wide supplies consumption and reordering based on need.
  • Point out significant anomalies in reporting to the Operations Management Team.
  • Review the accuracy of all reporting.
  • Report systemic problems to appropriate parties for timely resolution.
  • Maintains a professional, helpful attitude in dealings with co-workers, supervisors, and their departmental personnel at all times.
  • Uphold the values of KGPCo by setting an example and holding the team accountable.
  • Demonstrate practical application of quality concepts such as 5S and Kaizen to improve the quality performance of assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Work within and promote established safety and quality standards.
  • The ability to manipulate large data sets to determine specific actions.
  • Knowledge of data mining, business intelligence tools, and analysis.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written / verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities within time constraints.
  • Ability to solve problems and analyze data.
  • Ability to think and work independently but also work well in teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and accept challenges.
  • MS SQL (or equivalent) and MS Access-based data mining experience to extract data from multiple sources.
  • Experience in warehousing and distribution is preferred.
  • Ability to prepare written materials and deliver training presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Have a basic knowledge and understanding of quality concepts such as kaizen / lean six-sigma / 5S principles.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and motivational skills along with a creative and innovative approach to problem-solving and the ability to thrive in a metrics-driven, results-based environment.

QUALIFICATIONS :

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :

BS / BA degree, preferably in Business, Supply Chain Operations Research, Math, or other technical area required; or equivalent experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS :

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence;

ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the Company.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;

ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY :

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
