The Role

Beam is looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for building user-focused projects in an agile environment. Our engineers get the opportunity to work throughout our broad product giving them an opportunity to work with a diverse set of technologies, shipping code at a regular cadence.

What You Will Do

  • Regularly ship high-quality features.
  • Engage in our agile process, contributing feedback for continual refinement.
  • Work closely with Product and Design to fully own your projects.
  • Improve quality by leaving areas of the code better than you found them.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback.

What Technical Skills Will Help You Be Successful

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience building web applications with Ruby on Rails.
  • Experience with React, React Testing Library, NextJS, and Typescript.
  • Experience with Tailwind or other modern CSS frameworks.
  • Write clean, maintainable code that prioritizes User Experience.
  • Working knowledge of source control (Git).
  • Relational DB or Elastic search familiarity.

$100,200 - $160,200 a year

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors.

This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position.
