Overview

MG+M The Law Firm is a nationally renowned litigation law firm focusing on complex civil matters, including toxic tort, complex product liability, local government, general liability, and commercial litigation. The firm values collaborative, client-focused litigation and seeks an Associate for either the O'Fallon, IL office or the soon-to-be-opened Edwardsville location. Base pay range is $90,000.00 / yr - $135,000.00 / yr. This role may require hybrid or in-office work as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

  • Handle local and national accounts throughout Illinois, Missouri, and New York.
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload.
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
  • Review and analyze discovery requests; prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.
  • Prepare court filings and service to counsel; experience with e-filing.
  • Trial preparation and support; maintain accurate time records.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in one or more of the following practice areas : general litigation, complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice in Illinois, Missouri, and / or New York.
  • Experience with motion practice and depositions; experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
  • Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage multiple tasks with strong research and writing skills.
