The Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of associate professor.
This recruitment seeks creative scientists working on the problem of drug resistance in bacterial pathogens. Investigators directly addressing biofilm-associated infections, abscesses and diabetic wound infections and / or applying novel drug-delivery approaches, such as ultrasound-stimulated cavitation enhanced drug delivery, are highly encouraged to apply.
Applicants with expertise in host-pathogen interaction capable of synergizing with existing strengths in pathogens of the diabetic wound environment are also encouraged to apply.
