Description

Operate and inspect all types of construction equipment to determine needed repairs. Discuss equipment problems with supervisor and / or others as needed. Repair, replace, calibrate, adjust and / or rebuild components. Test repaired equipment for proper operation by collaborating with a CCO operator. Inspect, add and / or change fluids and lubricants for all types of equipment Check and replace worn parts and perform other routine service and maintenance. Operate a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, motor vehicles and heavy equipment. Perform necessary welding and fabrication. Remain current with knowledge of equipment to be serviced. Assist with ordering parts, materials and supplies needed for repair and maintenance. Use of electronic maintenance system to create work orders, track labor hours and materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MNDOT, SDDOT and / or Federal CMV Inspector Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00 / hr.
