POSITION SUMMARY :
The Climbing & Adventure Team Member is responsible for all aspects of the guest's climbing experience. Each team member will be assisting all guests and climbers during their time in the Climbing & Adventure facility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING :
- Greet guests promptly and provide excellent customer service
- Always be encouraging and positive to all guests and refrain from using negative language
- Know and enforce the facility's policies and procedures
- Complete check-in procedures and process payments
- Assign barcode key tags to those who purchase a monthly membership
- Keep track of memberships and family units within Dash Platform
- Be knowledgeable about pricing, events offered, equipment, and all climbing structures
- Complete daily assignments before, during, and after each shift as directed by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Ability to work with a wide variety of ages from pre-school thru adult
- Flexible work schedule (e.g. nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance is necessary
- Must be able to work with computers, barcode scanners, webcams, and online waivers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Must have excellent guest service skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to remain calm and focused in difficult and stressful situations
- Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow team members
- Must work well with others
- Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility
- Committed to the safety and wellbeing of others
- Must be at least 18 years old
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must show proficiency with all climbing equipment, procedures, and elements
- Must be able to manually belay in case of emergency
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
- Must wear proper uniform
- Facility has intermittent noise
