- Caseload : K-1 students
- Requirements : Must be licensed in IL and have PEL
Responsibilities :
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on student needs and goals
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the classroom
- Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate student growth and adjust instruction as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communication with parents / guardians and other team members
- Attend and participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities as needed
Qualifications :
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
